Ahh illness. The leading cause of procrastination. That, and a long 4-day holiday. [like you post much normally -ed Shut up and go bother Kaus & Drezner.]

Not much changed in the Top 25, actually. A whole lot of stasis, though VT swapped places with Oregon again. This will all likely change when Championship Saturday happens. A lot of churn at the bottom of the Top 25, I believe due to the release of the curve since most teams have popped to 11 games now with a few stragglers. Beyond the regular season there is no curve, so there is a pure bonus to post season play, as there should be. Granted, all of the teams in the Top 25 are going bowling so as far as the visible part of the spectrum goes, nothing drastic will happen, but the difference between the bowl haves and the bowl nots
will widen.

Ahh, but one more week to go before the big holiday & bowls. I myself will be on a pilgrimage to Vienna, Austria for Christmas so I'll 'miss' the lesser bowls, but will definitely be back in time to watch the Hokies HOPEFULLY play PSU in a bowl game. Three woots for that possibility! And if not the Nittany Lions, then the Buckeyes. Though if Beamer remains 0-for-Bowden next Sunday, we're headed back to JAX to play Louisville. No offense to the Cardinals, but that would be le sigh. One more week to see if USC can finally top Texas, though at this point I'm pretty sure its impossible short of actually beating them (which I think is the greater possibility come Rose Bowl time).

I'll be spending the weekend

I'll be spending the weekend rooting for Colorado and UCLA. ;>

Is it crazy to believe USC,

Is it crazy to believe USC, Texas, and LSU will lose this weekend, setting up VT (Go Hokies!) versus Penn State for the national championship? If the BCS then goes ring-a-ding-ding, of course. I believe.

Yes, I understand that I probably need medication.

As a diehard Cards fan, no

As a diehard Cards fan, no offense taken. This season is a disappointment for us, too. I mean, the Gator Bowl is still the biggest game in the history of our program, but we were so close to a BCS bowl.

And I hope you win. Our defense is no good against running QB's. Vick would pummel our D in every orifice.

I don't know how much you know about the Cardinals, but we lost Brian Brohm, our quarterback in our last game. Torn ACL. He won't be back until next season, so we've got our backup in. He's good, but I hope when he starts this saturday against UCONN for our last regular season game, I hope he blows everyone out of the water. It's hard to replace the second-most efficient passer in the nation, though. :wall:

As long as we've got Michael Bush, highest scorer in the nation, we could do anything, though. And Elvis Dumervil, by far the best defensive end in the country (number one in sacks and forces fumbles, number two in tackles for a loss).

I'm telling you man, I'm proud of this team. We're stacked.

Last minute prediction: FSU

Last minute prediction:

FSU is in turmoil, not just because they've lost 3 straight, but because their offensive line is banged up, the players have no faith in young Bowden the OC, and the comments made by receiver Rouse about regretting not going to UF. With VT a 2 TD favorite, it's hard to go with FSU, and even harder with a team with internal issues. VT has beaten the spread in all but 2 games this year, and they'll do it again this year:

VT 31
FSU 10

Or not.

Or not.

Damn. V. Tech got owned.

Damn. V. Tech got owned. Looks like they could be playing my Cards in the Gator Bowl. Sorry for "le sigh".

Btw, W. Virginia were acting like children at the end of that game. Three unsportsman like conduct calls!
