The Funniest Thing I heard all Day

So I'm at the movie theater to see Serenity (and no I won't tell you who wins... ), watching the previews when suddenly the announcer says "On a remote research station on mars the last 10 percent of the human genome has just been discovered ::dramatic pause:: and all hell breaks loose."

I don't think I have ever laughed that hard at a movie preview that wasn't meant to be a comedy. The preview was for the upcoming movie DOOM. At the end one of my friends says "no! why can't you just leave it as a video game," and the whole theater bust out laughing.

I haven't seen a movie look that bad in previews since they came out with mortal combat 2. :behead:

To be fair I"m sure it will be at least as interesting as watching someone else play Doom for the first time. :wall:

If you were laughing for joy at the prospect of witnessing the Great One on screen once again, that is acceptable.

Do not mock the Great One or his art.

Speaking about movie announcers, is it just me or does it sound like the same guy does all the trailers?

Someone tell me I'm not paranoid, please...

The audience in our theater

The audience in our theater was cheering and laughing once we figured out what it was. Partway through I started yelling "Chainsaw! CHAINSAW!!" and that got even more laughs from the crowd.

And so, of course, at the end of the trailer we all just went wild. :)
