My Corrupt Western Biases

In all the talk of the protests in Lebanon, one thing has been completely overlooked...

...Lebanese chicks are hot.

(The determination of whether they are as hot as Venezuelan protestors is an exercise left to the reader.)

I can guarantee you it has

I can guarantee you it has not been overlooked, at least by me.

OH YEAH!!!! I've been thinking exactly the same thing the last few days. I think Glenn was too because he was posting these darn pics but wasn't commenting about it.

Lebanese Women are Hot Young

Lebanese Women are Hot
Young Lebanese chicks protesting against the Syrian occupation are seriously hot....

The Lebanese

The Lebanese Revolution
…is really kinda hot. Just sayin’, is all. More. And more....

What's with the unnecessary

What's with the unnecessary qualifier "Lebanese"? Just plain "chicks" are hot!

I'm pro hot chicks,

I'm pro hot chicks, regardless of nationality or ethnic origin. I'm an equal opportunity PIG. ;/

Is this the Labanese version of College Girls Gone Wild?...where are the veils and head coverings? The mullas must be seething at the sight of cheek bones.

As someone else pointed out

As someone else pointed out somewhere, its likely that a great deal of them are Maronite Christian, and veils on eastern christians fell out of favor a millenia ago.

So many distractions so

So many distractions so little time...

...but so nice, the distractions.

I doubt we'll have any

I doubt we'll have any trouble convincing the USMC that Lebanon is full of hotties who are in dire need of liberation from tyrrany. The chance to dish out some payback for the Beiruit barracks bombing would make it a two-fer... and I assure you, they haven't forgotten about that.

No need for a burka on any

No need for a burka on any of the above yumm

Hey, guys, you shouldn't be

Hey, guys, you shouldn't be surprised by the lack of veils. Lebanon had some very strong Western leanings in its pre-civil war days. Beruit was a VERY cosmopolitan city. Even among the non-Christian groups. I am very glad to see it looks that way now.

Most people probably think

Most people probably think of the Lebanese as "Arabs" when a better description might be "Mediteranian," like the Greeks or Italians. Lebanese babes are also great cooks.

Cedar Revolution I don't

Cedar Revolution
I don't care if it's already been Instalanched: I must show support for hot Lebanese woman, as well as the very serious cause they are fighting for. And it's not just me: magazine cover editors obviously know the value...

So I guess, given that this

So I guess, given that this hotness issue hasn't been overlooked, and Catallarchy is days late to a t;tty-viewing party the hawkish blogs started throwing days ago, and this is merely a larger and more colorful collection of the same staged pics that have been appearing on blogs for days but exactly the kind of thing Glenn Reynolds goes for, that the Great Debate about whether Catallarchy should aim more to secure Instalanches or clusters of smaller links has been settled in favor of the former.

Aww boo. :dead:

Lebanese Protestors Ok, not

Lebanese Protestors
Ok, not that I want this blog to turn into an emporium of the superficial but Lebanon has some gorgeous protestors. As pointed out on the blog Catallarchy, you can always tell which side is winning by where the hot

Well, the fact had not been

Well, the fact had not been overlooked by at least two or three of my friends.
It might be because of the obvious reason, and also because there is an old saying of the italian movimento studentesco:" the revolution is good for the skin". The other reason is a song by an outstanding singer Giorgio Gaber that says just about that: "sure, I am a revolutionary, I know about ideology, but when I look at her legs.....

Hey, Lebanese or hetero, I

Hey, Lebanese or hetero, I believe in these women and would gladly extend to them all my warmth, on every dimension.

Viva la revolucion!!!

Viva la revolucion!!!

Children; the Middle East is

Children; the Middle East is not all Saudi Arabia. Leb TV has long featured hotties. A real lesson you can take away is that the anti Syrian protestors were coming from a certain social class, hint not the masses.

The east only makes news for

The east only makes news for the west when their is a tragedy......!!! That is the weakness of the west because the east is quietly ctaching up and will overtake it soon. Witness India China S Korea and now Lebanon!!!

Hey, not fair! How about

Hey all,
(Whitehorse, how are you man ! Basketball at 6? )
I am a Lebanese guy, I travelled quite a lot, to France, England, Holland, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, United States and finally Canada, where I lived for more than 4 years (Canadian too). And believe me when I say that Lebanese people (guys and girls) are way different from the image that is shown worldwide on TV...Women in veils, Beirut as the terrorist city of war, cold blooded militias...that's all just in movies and books. Recent statistics (from the Interpol) show that Lebanon is one of the most secure countries on the planet, with the lowest rate of thefts, deaths, murders... Unfortunately that is not the image shown to the world...
In Lebanon you can go from skiing to swimming at the beach in just 1 hour, you have one of the craziest nightlife, a high literacy rate, and of course, hot chicks :grin:
Just help us get rid of the Syrian occupation so that tourists come back to what was called the Switzerland of the Middle-East, the Rose of the East, our dear country...And believe me you will be able to do all the aforementionned things...
Long live free Lebanon...

hey all , i am a lebanese ,

hey all ,

Wow nice website! I came to

Wow nice website! I came to find it by pure chance.
Being a Lebanese female (and not bad looking at all from what I hear:grin:) I really like the way foreign viewers noticed that.
And Lebanon is always labelled as "Arab" it is really a cosmopolitan mediterranean country with a unique cultural, ethnic and religious mix.
As a proud Lebanese I gladly took part in the demonstrations because I am madly in love with this small but grand country of mine.
I think now it's Lebanon's chance to erase years of bad press and wrongful propaganda to show its highly civil and cultural assets.
Check out this site to have an idea www.downtownbeirut.com

First of all Lebanese

First of all Lebanese Christian women NEVER wore veils. Second, of all the majority of the Lebanese Muslim women do not wear them as well. The country was largely influenced by the Lebanese Christian domainance since it's inception. Of course, wore drove most of us away but we're still looking over Lebanon from our new found homes! So anyone planning on messing with the Lebanese, watch out!
Regards,
Lebanese by birth, proud by choice!

The pictures are beautiful,

The pictures are beautiful, and the comments of some boys are just pathetic [why did God create you with this thing between your legs, I don't understand]
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyways, thanks for the great pictures whoever took them.
It's refreshing to see the new generation of Lebanese women step forward to fight the fight for an independent, sovereign and free Lebanon.
