The Mangled Health Care Industry

Skip Oliva, president of Citizens of Voluntary Trade, has a nice article today at Mises.org in criticism of Bush's inconsistent actions in light of his statement, "[I]n all we do to improve health care in America, we will make sure that health decisions are made by doctors and patients, not by bureaucrats in Washington, D.C." The players in this menagerie of special interests and rent-seekers include the AMA, the FTC, the DOJ, malpractice lawyers, the HMOs, and of course, politicians seeking office. And they say that a free market in health care doesn't work.
