On inalienability and contracts

[via Mises Blog]

Speaking of contracts and of Micha's musings about 'legacy contracts' and what may or may not be permissable, Walter Block's recent paper in the Journal of Libertarian Studies goes into detail on the subject by advancing his own take on a libertarian theory of inalienability, and contrasts his view with those of Murray Rothbard, Randy Barnett, and others with his view denying inalienability.

In addition, N. Stephan Kinsella has a paper in the same issue that discusses a libertarian theory of contract, which speaks to initial/just acquisition theory (among other things related to contracts).
